Welcome!
Kentucky may be best known for its bourbon and thoroughbreds but the Bluegrass State has a wealth of wonders - and none quite as wonderful as the small town of Augusta, Kentucky (pop. 1,163 and counting).

Beautifully situated on the banks of the Ohio River, Augusta has been repeatedly recognized for its historical and cultural significance, as well as its nine miles of unobstructed, outstanding river views. In 2005, Kentucky's most famous historian, the late Dr. Thomas Clark, created a list of Kentucky's Treasures; eleven places of particular historical, cultural, or ecological significance. Among such notable landmarks as Mammoth Cave, Cumberland Gap and Shaker Village, Augusta is the only city included on this list of "must-see" locations in the Bluegrass State.

Rich in history and blessed with an abundance of beautiful views, Augusta offers visitors plenty to enjoy. Whether you are booking a weekend away in one of our historical B&Bs, sampling award-winning wines or a Casamigos cocktail, shopping till you drop, taking a tour, or picking up carryout for a picnic by the river, discover for yourself what makes our small, sleepy river town so special!
