America’s Scenic Byways
A National Scenic Byway is a road recognized by the USDOT for one or more of six "intrinsic qualities": archeological, cultural, historic, natural, recreational, and scenic.

Our "Digital Guide to the Ohio River", developed by the GIS team at OKI (the Ohio Kentucky Indiana Regional Council of Governments), is designed to help boaters, paddlers, anglers, cyclists and motorists safely explore the Ohio and its historic river communities.

Tthe Kentucky Heritage Council is charged with identifying, preserving and protecting the historic resources of Kentucky. 

Governors Office of Local Development
The Department for Local Government (DLG), under the Office of the Governor, provides financial help in the way of grant and loan assistance, as well as advising local governments in matters of budget, personnel and other issues relevant to those entities.
