Every year, the Augusta Volunteer Fire Department puts on an amazing firework display that brightens the skies over our beautiful town. Located at the Augusta River Park, it's an event full of games, entertainment and food.

Heritage Days

September 4, 2020 through September 6, 2020 (Labor Day Weekend)

Sponsored by the Augusta Rotary Club, this event has been a tradition in Augusta for decades. This festival boasts traditional games, vendors, trolley tours, entertainment and the Famous Frog-Jumping Contest. 

American Duchess Visits

September 11th 2020 - 12-7pm

Stop by Riverside Drive in picturesque Augusta, Kentucky and see the mighty American Duchess while she is docked at O'Neill Riverwalk. The elegant ship will be in town from 12-7pm with her fleet of matching tour buses. Enjoy unique shopping and dining while in town! 

Swingtime on the River

September 19th 2020 from 6 PM - 10 PM

Relive the glorious Big Band era along the lovely Ohio River during SWINGTIME ON THE RIVER. Taking place on the 3rd Saturday in September, the City of Augusta hosts the Swingtime Big Band for a crowd-pleasing good time of great music. For one memorable evening, we invite you to dance and dine beneath the stars. Local groups will also be on hand to cater your meal or you can bring your own picnic.

Reserve Tables & Setting is available: Table of 8 $90.00 or $12.00 per person

or bring your favorite lawn chair and sit nearby.

2nd Annual Battle of Augusta Anniversary Weekend

Friday, September 25th - Sunday 27th 2020

The Battle of Augusta was a battle during the American Civil War that took place on September 27, 1862, in Augusta, Kentucky, between the Bracken County Home Guard and the Confederate 2nd Kentucky Cavalry Regiment under command of Colonel Basil W. Duke, a brother-in-law of John Hunt Morgan. 157 years later, we will be honoring this important part of our town's history with a reenactment of the actual battle. Come join us for an exciting weekend of events!

Turning of the Leaves

October 10th 2020 from 10 AM - 6 PM

The Turning of the Leaves Festival features local vendors, entertainment, and a wonderful opportunity to visit Augusta during the autumn season. Located on the first block of Main Street, Turning of the Leaves is held on the second weekend in October. For more information, please contact the Augusta Tourism Office at 606-756-2183.

Trick or Treat

October 25th 2020 from 3 PM - 5PM

Watch out for little ghosts, goblins, ninjas and princesses as Trick or Treaters take to the streets of Augusta 3-5pm

Always the last Sunday in October.

Small Business Holiday Shopping

November 28th 2020 from 10 AM- 6 PM

It's Small Business Saturday and a great time to visit Augusta for your holiday shopping! Local shopkeepers will have special deals and refreshments throughout the day. Shoppers can  participant in the 'Holiday Shop Crawl' shopping card.  Kick off the holiday shopping-season in Augusta!

12th Annual White Christmas Parade

December 12th 2020 at 5:30 PM

Each year, we remember our beloved Rosemary Clooney with the White Christmas Parade. Sponsored by the Augusta Rotary Club, this event celebrates our Girl's most famous movie, White Christmas, and the town she loved so much. Shops are open late and the entire town comes out to enjoy an evening of good cheer, music and twinkly lights.
