Heritage Days

August 30, 2019 through September 1, 2019 (Labor Day Weekend)

Sponsored by the Augusta Rotary Club, this event has been a tradition in Augusta for decades. This festival boasts traditional games, vendors, trolley tours, entertainment and the Famous Frog-Jumping Contest. 

September 7th, 2019

Mark your calendars and plan to join us for the 2019 Limestone Cycling Tour! Starting in Maysville, Kentucky, there will be Century, Metric Century, 40 Mile and 24 Mile routes. Routes and SwagStops will be in Mason and Bracken Counties

Swingtime on the River

September 14, 2019 from 6 PM - 10 PM

Relive the glorious Big Band era along the lovely Ohio River during SWINGTIME ON THE RIVER. Every year, on the second Saturday in September, the City of Augusta hosts the Swingtime Big Band for a crowd-pleasing good time of great music and fireworks. For one memorable evening, we invite you to dance and dine beneath the stars. Local restaurants/groups will also be on hand to cater your meal or you can bring your own picnic. Battle of Augusta Anniversary Weekend

Friday, September 27th - Sunday, September 29th

The Battle of Augusta was a battle during the American Civil War that took place on September 27, 1862, in Augusta, Kentucky, between the Bracken County Home Guard and the Confederate 2nd Kentucky Cavalry Regiment under command of Colonel Basil W. Duke, a brother-in-law of John Hunt Morgan. 157 years later, we will be honoring this important part of our town's history with a reenactment of the actual battle. Come join us for an exciting weekend of events!

1PM - Augusta School Days for Grades 9-12: Living History Camp (East Riverside Drive)

5PM - Period Five Course Meal (with music and cash bar) hosted by the Friends for Education at the Clooney Community Center

10AM - Craft vendors open for business on East Riverside Drive

10AM - Infantry Demonstration at Living History Camp

Turning of the Leaves

October 12th, 2019 from 10 AM - 6 PM

The Turning of the Leaves Festival features local vendors, entertainment, and a wonderful opportunity to visit Augusta during the autumn season. Trick or Treat

October 27, 2019 from 3 PM - 5PM

Watch out for little ghosts, goblins, ninjas and princesses as Trick or Treaters take to the streets of Augusta. Always the last Sunday in October.

Small Business Holiday Shopping

November 30, 2019 from 10 AM- 6 PM

It's Small Business Saturday and a great time to visit Augusta for your holiday shopping! Local shopkeepers will have special deals and refreshments throughout the day. There will also be Christmas carols and the Community Christmas Tree Lighting. Kick off the holiday shopping-season in Augusta!

11th Annual White Christmas Parade

December 14, 2019 at 5:30 PM

Each year, we remember our beloved Rosemary Clooney with the White Christmas Parade. Sponsored by the Augusta Rotary Club, this event celebrates our Girl's most famous movie, White Christmas, and the town she loved so much. Shops are open late and the entire town comes out to enjoy an evening of good cheer, music and twinkly lights.
