Water Treatment Plant Manager

 

The City of Augusta is seeking qualified applicants for the full time position of Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Manager. Position is responsible for managing the daily operations and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant facility. Duties include but not limited to: Management of operators and plant operations. Operation and maintenance of all plant equipment, buildings, and grounds of such plant. Monitors and records all data of operation for the treatment plant and raw water pump stations. Maintains accurate and complete records. Ensures production of potable water to maintain adequate water storage levels. Plans and schedules work. Reports any and all malfunctions of operational problems. Installs chemical feed, laboratory and treatment plant analyzing equipment. Work with water treatment chemicals. Performing administrative tasks, ensuring compliance to regulatory guidelines. Qualified candidates must have a H.S. diploma or equivalent, 4-6 years related work experience in well water treatment, a Kentucky Class IIIA Public Water Supply Operators License, valid Kentucky drivers’ license. Candidate must also possess strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills as well as a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other related software applications.
